Since 2002, The Friends of the Children's Library and the HB Restaurant Association have helped the Taste raise over $500,000 for the HB Children's Library!

The silent auction at the Taste of HB features decorative baskets filled with goods and services from businesses throughout Orange County.

 

Stop by and bid on these great silent auction deals:

Tell me about the Taste of Huntington Beach

The annual Taste of Huntington Beach showcases the best of HB’s culinary talents and the region’s top wineries and breweries. For one all-inclusive price, attendees enjoy unlimited samples and sips from some of the area’s finest establishments. All proceeds go to the Children’s Department of the HB Public Library.

 

The Taste is the last Sunday in April. This year the Taste is Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the HB Sports Complex; 18100 Goldenwest; HB 92648 from 12 Noon to 4 PM – with an exclusive VIP reception from 11 AM-12 Noon.

 

There is no dress code, but the Taste is on a grassy field and comfortable shoes are recommended, but it’s also a great opportunity to dress fashionably and look your best.

 

Please note: Your all-inclusive ticket price is all you pay. There are no per-sample fees and parking is free!

 

 

What will be happening at the Taste?

The Taste features 50 restaurants, caterers and food exhibitors as well as a total of 50 wineries and breweries.

Water and nonalcoholic beverages are available at the Taste. We also have a variety of vendors promoting their products, a fantastic raffle and silent auction – plus live music for your listening and dancing pleasure.

 

Some exhibitors have interactive displays and many offer free giveaways. It's also a great place to meet friends AND to people watch!

 

 

Where can I purchase tickets for the Taste of Huntington Beach?

Starting February 1, tickets can be purchased at the Children’s Department of the HB Library and online at

www.TasteHB.com . (American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover accepted)

 

General admission tickets will be available at the door, but ticket prices will be higher than presale purchases.

 

 

How can my business participate in the Taste and/or donate to the silent auction?

Do you need volunteers for the Taste?

YES! You can contact Dan@TasteHB.com to help coordinate, market and set up ore work the day of  the event.

 

What are the perks of a VIP ticket?

A VIP ticket entitles you to the red carpet treatment, including a champagne and hors d’oeuvres reception from 11 AM until 12 Noon. Our VIPs enjoy many other perks like special VIP giveaways, a commemorative 2017 Taste wineglass, complimentary valet parking and a 30-minute early entry into the main event tent

 

 I don’t drink alcohol. What are my options?

Designated driver tickets are available at all ticket outlets for $10 less than current ticket prices. You must be 21 or older to enter the Taste using a designated driver ticket.

 

 Is the Taste handicap accessible?

Yes – the Taste is on a flat, grassy field suitable for wheelchairs and electric scooters – although the ground can be a little bumpy. The Taste has accessible restrooms, and we offer free valet parking and early entry into the main tent for a person and companion with proof of disability if they make arrangements prior to the event. I plan to attend the Taste with a group. Are there any price breaks?

Yes – bulk ticket are available for purchases of 10 or more tickets made at the same time. The cost is $5 less than the current ticket price and convenience fee will be reduced. Contact tickets@TasteHB.com

Since all proceeds go to a registered charity, is the cost of my ticket tax-deductible?

The fair market value is printed on each ticket and is listed on the Taste website. Money paid to purchase silent auction items above their retail value may also be deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for details.

 

 

Can people under 21 attend the Taste?

Yes. The Taste is open to the public, but everyone over three years of age must purchase a full-price ticket – with the exception of designated driver tickets; those are only available to people 21 years and older.

 

Any other pertinent info I should know about?

• The Taste is an outdoor event on a grassy field. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

• Seating at tables outdoors is limited but you’re welcome to bring blankets and stadium chairs.

• Backpacks and purses are subject to search.

• You can park in the Sports Complex and the Library parking lots for free that day.

• Valet parking is available for $5 the day of the Taste; valet parking is free for VIP ticket holders.

• No new admissions to the Taste after 3:00 PM.
